The popular film ‘La Femme Anjola’ by the Audrey Silva Company is now available on Amazon Prime Video.
Confirming the film’s streaming release, co-producer and lead star, Rita Dominic shared on Instagram: “Hey fam, I am on set in Calabar and I heard the good news that our film #LaFemmeAnjola directed by @glazedlens, Produced by me and @glazedlens just dropped. Go run it up for me my people.”
‘La Femme Anjola,’ written by Tunde Babalola, tells the story of a young stockbroker whose life is turned upside down when he falls in love with a married singer. Dominic co-stars as Anjola with Nigerian Idols alum Nonso Bassey.
Ego Boyo, Femi Jacobs, Paul Papel, Adejumoke Aderounmu, Big Brother Naija star, Bassey Ekpeyong, Chris Iheuwa, Browny Igboegwu, Shawn Faqua, and Kenyan actress Mumbi Maina also appear in the thriller.
Due to the pandemic, The Audrey Silva business ultimately opted for a March 2021 release date instead of the original 2020 theatre launch date. A self-powered streaming service was used to distribute the movie to a larger audience after it finished playing in theatres.
