Fireboy, the Afrobeats sensation, has released a new tune named “YAWA.”
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Since breaking into the public in 2020 with his highly acclaimed album ‘Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps,’ Fireboy has established himself as one of the most important musicians bringing Nigerian music to a worldwide audience.
Fireboy has returned with a new song titled ‘YAWA’ after releasing his first single of 2023, ‘Someone’.
In his new track, Fireboy reiterates his resolve to live his life his way, without regard for the skeptics and critics.
While blending English, Pidgin, and Yoruba, the award-winning phenomenon expresses his tiredness from the ongoing study of his career while insisting that he is not competing with anybody.
‘YAWA’ was created by Grammy-nominated music producer Telz and ace hitmaker Magicsticks, who mixed Pop elements with log drumming for a mid-tempo single that showcases another side of Fireboy.
The song was published with a music video made by Blank Square Production, and it has already received over 1 million views in only 6 hours.
