Beyoncé has cemented yet another spot in Grammy history with her album “The Renaissance Age.” After collecting eight nominations for the 65th Grammy Awards, the singer now has 87 Grammy nominations, according to the Recording Academy. Beyoncé has now received more nominations than any other artist in history, shattering Jay-previous Z’s mark, thanks to these new nominations.
She has been nominated this year with the nomination announcement:
- Song of the Year for Break My Soul
- Record of the Year for Break My Soul
- Album of the Year.
- Best Dance/Electronic Music Album Break My Soul
- Best Dance/Electronic Recording for Virgo’s Groove
- the best R&B performance, Plastic Off the Sofa
- Best Traditional R&B Performance award
- Best Song Written for Visual Media award for Be Alive. Written by King Richard
She had previously been the most nominated female artist overall and tied for second with Paul McCartney in the 2020 Grammy nominations with 79 nominations. According to the official Grammy website, only producers Quincy Jones and Jay-Z had more nominations at the time, each having 80.
The nominations announced yesterday have put Beyoncé in a position to surpass other musicians in terms of Grammy wins. Georg Solti, a renowned conductor who has won 31 accolades, is the current champion. The most honored female performer right now is Beyoncé, who has received 28 golden gramophone awards.
