Pelu Awofeso, a travel journalist, will make a documentary about Ajayi Crowther.

Pelu Awofeso, a multi-award-winning Nigerian travel journalist, is planning a documentary about famed Sierra-Leonean/Nigerian clergyman and linguist Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther.
According to Awofeso, the next documentary titled ‘In The Footsteps of Bishop Crowther’ would involve a six-man journey of 20 locales over the course of ten weeks. Cities visited by the bishop during his lifetime will be among the sites.
Badagry, Opobo, Brass, Bonny, Okrika, Lokoja, Bidda, Minna, and Idah are among the cities set to be featured in the documentary.
Crowther, the first African Anglican bishop in West Africa, translated the Bible into Yoruba during his lifetime. In addition, he developed a dictionary in the same language.
