Peter Okoye, a prominent Nigerian musician from the P-Square music group, has responded to criticism for kissing a female fan at a concert.

The musician, who is presently on a globe tour with his twin brother, Paul, to perform in 100 locations worldwide, recently played in Amsterdam and received positive feedback.

However, it garnered attention when the married artist stepped down from the platform to kiss a female fan.

A video of the encounter went viral on social media, sparking outrage and condemnation from many who questioned his conduct as a married man with children. Despite the outcry, Peter remained unconcerned, arguing that he was merely doing his job.

“But many of my female fans collected correct kisses last night for Amsterdam. Please don’t be jealous! #JustDoingMyJob #Psquare100CitiesWorldTour,” he wrote.

During a recent interview on The 77 Podcast, the famed P-Square twin brothers, Paul and Peter Okoye, said that Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and other Afrobeats singers would not have come to popularity if they hadn’t been separated.

The musical duo asserted that they dominated the Nigerian and African music industry for over 14 years until their temporary disbandment in 2016 allowed others to emerge.
