The upcoming gubernatorial elections have split celebrities much like the general elections did.

Babajie Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, has been named as street superstar Naira Marley’s preference in the next elections for governor.
Naira Marley expressed himself and proclaimed his support for Sanwo-Olu in a late-night Instagram live video on March 15.
Sanwo-Olu is the ideal candidate, according to the “Soapy” singer, who made this remark. Moreover, he mentioned that the state’s infrastructure and other areas had seen substantial improvement, which was something that the public could confirm.
Naira Marley hammered home his argument by stating that Sanwo-Olu, an experienced guy who is already informed based on what he has done in the state so far, is what Lagos needs in order for the state to remain stable and continue moving forward.

Sanwo Olu again ni o
Sanwo-Olu has been outstanding, he said, adding that he does not support any political party. He made it clear that this was not a promotional arrangement but rather his decision.
“I’m not (for the) All Progressives Congress, I’m not (for the) Peoples Democratic Party, I’m not (for the) Labour Party…but where Lagos is going right now, we don’t need to start testing at all. I think Sanwo-Olu is the right person for the job. This is not a paid promo or nothing. He has achieved a lot, he also has experience,” he said.
The musician, who is well-known for his contentious anecdotes, declared his political preference while preparing for the usual blowback that comes with doing so as a public figure from Nigeria.
