The Origin: Madam Koi Koi maintains its spot at the top as Nigeria’s most watched show on Netflix.
The film’s director, Jay Franklyn Jituboh, thanked the actors and crew in a tweet, revealing that the project has remained at the top for three weeks.
The Origin: Madam Koi Koi, written by Jibutoh and Dale Falola, is the tale of a sinister ghost that, after being forgotten for decades, reawakens to exact revenge on a community that will ultimately pay a heavy price.
Two inspectors, played by Deyemi Okanlawon and Baaj Adebule, are perplexed by the deaths of three people in the town. They set out to investigate and quickly became entangled in the drama.
Ireti Doyle, who plays the school administrator, Chukwuka Jude, Martha Ehinome, Nene Aliemeke, Tolulope Odebunmi, Omowunmi Dada, Ejiro Onojaife, Chuks Joseph, Kevin T. Solomon, Temidayo Akinboro, Iremide Adeoye, and Racheal Emem Issac are among the cast members. The film is co-produced by Jituboh and Michael W. Ndiomu.
On October 31, 2023, the first part debuted, and on November 7, 2023, the second part The Black Book, Ijogbon, and Jagun Jagun, which have all topped the Netflix charts this year, are among the titles that The Origin joins.
