The chef is said to have broken a $3 million contract.

Hilda Baci, a well-known Nigerian chef, has vehemently reacted to a brand’s threat of legal action by providing strong proof of her innocence.
The chef has adamantly disputed the accusations and given her side of the tale, despite the brand’s public accusation that she violated a $3 million contract.
On Friday, June 9, 2023, a flyer advertising an event starring Baci began making the rounds on Twitter, sparking the uproar.
According to the flyer, Baci would charge 25,000 for an Abuja meet-and-greet. The chef instantly disproved the news as untrue, using her Twitter account to explain the issue.
She tweeted, “Hi everyone, this is to inform everyone that I’m not doing any meet and greet in Abuja. I would also never ask anyone to pay for such. Thanks.”
In response, the brand in charge of the event has accused Baci of agreeing to the deal before taking a 3 million advance payment.
All preparations, including the advertising materials, were finalized once the money was received, according to the brand’s official Instagram page.
The company released a statement expressing astonishment and displeasure at the chef’s outright denial of any involvement in the incident. The company also said that it will file a lawsuit.
On June 12, 2023, the world record holder had a live session to confront the brand’s allegations and maintain her innocence.
She defended herself throughout the discussion, saying that the event was never hers and she was just invited as a guest.
She stressed that she was unaware of this agreement beforehand and expressed outrage at the brand’s choice to charge supporters 25,000 to meet her.
Baci supplied a ton of screenshots of her communications with the company to support her accusations further, offering concrete proof for her account of events.
When Baci broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking session by one person, she became well-known and well-recognized.
Guinness World Records recognized her as the new record holder today, June 13, 2023, after Chef Lata Tondon’s prior accomplishment.
The public is watching this legal issue to see how it develops and how Hilda Baci and the brand will settle their divergent claims.
