Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Tops Box Office with ₦35 Million In Nigeria 

According to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria, the seventh edition of Paramount’s action series grossed $35 million between June 9 and 11, 2023.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts had a strong opening weekend in Nigeria.

According to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria, the seventh edition of Paramount’s action series grossed $35 million between June 9 and 11, 2023.

The PG-13 film, directed by Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II), follows Optimus Prime and the Autobots, striving to eliminate a menace that can potentially destroy the whole world.

The film, which stars Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, has received mixed reviews throughout the globe, but the stats suggest that moviegoers seem to be enjoying it.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is still in second place, with an extra 22.7 million, after opening with 28 million.

The Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation animated adventure grossed 67.9 million dollars.

Before the new results, Fast X fought hard, maintaining the top spot for three weeks and earning 254.56 million.

The Fast and Furious tenth installment is presently ranked third. The film has grossed over $630 million worldwide, with Jason Momoa’s villain Dante Reyes often regarded as the franchise’s strongest adversary.

The Little Mermaid is in fourth position with 12 million and total earnings of 91 million, while the recently released Daddy is the only Nollywood film in the top five. The picture grossed $3 million in its first weekend.

The film, directed by Isi Blacc and written by Emmanuel Lop’laa Ogidi Olu, follows a father’s protective instincts as they lead him through the pandemonium of Lagos, from the island to the mainland.

The film stars Charles Inojie, Femi Jacobs, Floyd Igbo, Munachi Abii, Nonso Odogwu, Oladipo, and Zenitta Yakubu and is directed by Austin Iria.
