‘Killing Old People Club’ is a film based on a novel by Umberto Eco, an Italian writer.

Dong-hyuk Hwang, the Korean director, has announced that he is working on a new film that would be more brutal than his critically praised horror picture ‘Squid Game.’
Dong-hyuk Hwang stated to Variety that the ‘controversial’ film will be an adaptation of Umberto Eco’s novel ‘Killing Elderly People Club,’ and that he may have to hide from old people when it is released.
Variety says that the new project for ‘Squid Game’ will not mark the end of the expected sequel, which was revealed last year.
Hwang previously stated that a sequel was already in the works with Netflix, with a release date set for 2024.
In 2021, the successful series aired to immediate acclaim, quickly climbing the rankings of Netflix’s most popular shows. The show follows a group of contestants as they compete in a series of lethal children’s games in the hopes of winning life-changing money.
