Fireboy DML, a Nigerian musician, debuted in the top 30 of the Official UK Top 40 Charts on Friday, December 31, 2021 with a remix of his blockbuster hit track, ‘Peru,’ starring Ed Sheeran.
The song became Nigeria’s first to reach one million views on YouTube with a video shot in the country.
The song debuted at No. 52 on the Rhythmic Radio charts in the United States. This follows a busy six months for Fireboy, who has already released two albums, Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps, and Apollo.
In 2022, he plans to release his third album. While he has recently shared his time between the United States and Nigeria, he performed his first show at the Balmoral, Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.
