Keith Shiri, a Zimbabwean film curator, has been named President of the AMAA 2022 Jury.

The finalists for the 18th Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) have been announced! The competition for the top prize, which will be presented in Lagos in October 2022, was introduced by the award’s organizers on September 21, 2022.
This year’s top contenders from Nigeria include Walter Waltbanger Taylaur’s “Jolly Roger” 7 and the Netflix originals “Man of God” 9 and “Swallow” by Kunle Afolayan and Bolanle Austen Peters.
