Capitol Records, an international record company, has made history by signing the world’s first artificial intelligence rapper, FN Meka.

CBS reports that Capitol Record has signed FN Meka, a virtual rapper with an amazing 10 million Tik Tok followers, giving it the title of Tik Tok’s most popular virtual personality.
Anthony Martini and Brandon Le invented the robot rapper known as FN Meka. They also co-founded the virtual record company Factory New, to which FN Meka is signed to.
The debut song from FN, “Florida Water,” was created by Turbo and DJ Holiday and includes one of Atlanta’s top rappers, Gunna.
The lyrics, according to the authors, were produced by artificial intelligence. However, a person did the vocals. The authors also disclosed that they are making efforts to ensure that Al sings the tunes.
Anthony Martini stated that AI develops ideas for writing new songs by examining elements including lyrical content, melody, pace, and chords when describing the technology to MBW.
Ryan Ruden, Executive Vice President of Experiential Marketing & Business Development for the Group, commented on the addition of FN Meka to Capitol Records as follows:
“The project meets at the intersection of music, technology, and gaming culture. This is just a preview of what’s to come. This latest project with FN Meka and Clix, while a first of its kind, is only an evolution of Capitol Records’ eighty-year history of innovation.”
The news has so far drawn a range of responses, with some branding it a foolish attempt to use a robot to hide behind in order to earn income. In any case, it’s difficult to bet against technology, and only time will tell if this results in a substantial change in how music is consumed in the future.
