Buju Releases 7-Track EP, ‘Sorry I’m Late’
This is his second album, following his debut, 24Hrs In Lagos City.
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Buju’s journey throughout the last two years of his career is appropriately labeled ‘Sorry I’m Late.’ He gained a lot of attention in 2019, and a year later, he earned huge collaborations with Zlatan and Burna Boy. On A Spaceship, which was co-founded by Burna Boy and Bose Ogulu, was his next stop.
When Nigerians expected blockbuster recordings, he left the label with little to no releases a year later. He has since returned with some heat and a streak of fantastic features. He could be considered Nigeria’s 2021 MVP.
This is the follow-up to 24Hrs In Lagos City, his debut album.
Album Title: Sorry I’m Late
Genre: R&B, Afro-pop, Afrobeats, Afrobeats, Amapiano, Highlife, Reggae Fusion
Date of Release: October 28, 2021
