Bimbo Akintola & Funsho Adeolu Star In A Short Film ‘Ruth’
Tope Alake directed the short film on domestic abuse.

The short video ‘Ruth,’ produced by Underdog TV, is aimed at raising awareness about domestic abuse.
Veteran actors Bimbo Akintola and Funsho Adeolu feature in the six-minute Kunle Omope-written short film, which is produced by Funsho Adebayo, Yetunde Ajibode, Kanso Ogbolu, and directed by Tope Alake.
Lanre Adisa and Bolaji Alausa are executive producing the film, which “explains domestic abuse and its ramifications.”

The short film, which was released on YouTube approximately a week ago, is appropriate since it follows a season of domestic abuse social media calls-outs prompted by the death of gospel musician Osinachi Nwachukwu.
The singer’s death aroused widespread indignation, particularly after family members revealed that she had been subjected to physical abuse for years.
