When we talk about people who have been working round the clock to curb unemployment in Africa, we definitely can’t skip Hilda Kabushenga Kragha’s name. If we were asked to describe this pacesetter, we would “simply” describe her as a remarkable Ugandan luminary whose transformative journey has bridged continents and cultures, igniting waves of positive change in Africa’s employment landscape. Born and bred in the heart of Uganda, Hilda’s journey led her to the bustling metropolis of Lagos in 2015 to work at Mckinsey & Company. 6 months after she was introduced to the vibrant energy of Nigeria, she discovered not just her career’s calling but a love that forever changed the trajectory of her life.

A seasoned executive with over a decade of global professional experience, Hilda’s story continues to unfold with each achievement she’s scripted along the way. Before taking the wheel at The African Talent Company, Hilda was the CEO  of Jobberman Nigeria, an embodiment of her passion for organisational behaviour and human capital management. From her role as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company’s Lagos office to her journey as a transfer pricing expert with KPMG East Africa, Hilda’s career is a collection of excellence painted across the canvas of corporate strategy, talent management, and change leadership.

However, it wasn’t until she embraced motherhood that Hilda’s narrative took an even more remarkable twist. Balancing the demands of a thriving career with the joys and challenges of raising a son, she embarked on a personal journey that reshaped her outlook on life and leadership. Hilda’s story is not just about career milestones; it’s about the balance between ambition and personal growth, between corporate boardrooms and heartfelt conversations with fellow mothers on Instagram through her blog, Modern African Mother.

In June 2019, Hilda assumed the role of CEO at Jobberman Nigeria, a decision that marked a pivotal moment in her journey. Armed with a wealth of consulting and human capital development experience, she embarked on a mission to redefine Africa’s job market, where seekers and providers converge to sculpt brighter futures. Under her transformative leadership, Jobberman Nigeria blossomed into the country’s premier job platform, uniting over 2 million job seekers with 68,000 employers, and sculpting careers that reverberate across the continent.

As the pages of time turned, Hilda’s magnetic influence extended beyond Nigeria’s borders. In September 2020, ROAM Africa (Ringier One Africa Media), the parent company of Jobberman, appointed Hilda Kabushenga Kragha as the Managing Director of ROAM Africa Jobs. This new role saw her casting her visionary gaze across the vast panorama of employment solutions, overseeing brands like BrighterMonday and Jobberman that illuminate East and West Africa’s job markets.
