Muhammadu Buhari has taken to social media to proclaim that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has earned profits every year for the past 44 years.

Mele Kyari, the Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) , has stated that the oil corporation will cease to exist within the next six months, as required by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).
FG to Buy 20% of Dangote Refinery Shares for $2.76B
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the acquisition of 20 percent minority stakes ($2.76 billion) by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in the Dangote Petroleum and Petro-Chemical Refinery.
NNPC Partners with other Firms, Attracts $32B in two years
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), some multinationals and local partners have in the last two years attracted about $32 billion investment into the Nigerian oil and gas sector. The investment is coming exactly two years after the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Mele Kyari, assumed office at the state oil firm.
