Rema is one of the artists leading the exportation of Nigerian music through his music, which has found commercial success abroad.
In another move to reach out to listeners abroad, Rema is set to appear on the ‘Nu King’ album of American pop star Jason Derulo.
The last time Rema collaborated with an American was on the song “Pretty Girl” with quickly rising rapper Ice Spice.
The duo previously appeared together on the remix of “Ayo Girl” by Belgian music producer Robinson.
Jason Derulo has also previously worked with Rema’s labelmate Bayyani on the remix of his hit single “Tatata.”
For Rema, this is further evidence of his growing popularity in the US, where he has enjoyed commercial success thanks to his smash hit single “Calm Down” with Selena Gomez.
Rema is scheduled to feature on American pop sensation Jason Derulo’s upcoming album, “Nu King,” alongside superstars like Nicki Minaj, TY Dollar$, French Montano, Quavo, Adam Levine, and EDM icon David Guetta.
