The U.S President Joe Biden has authorized the deployment of 6,000 troops to Afghanistan to aid in the evacuation of the country’s inhabitants, friends, and Afghan partners.
On Monday, Biden told the American people from the White House that the troops were trying to secure the Hamid Karzai International Airport so that they could leave safely.
“In the coming days, we plan to transport thousands of American citizens who have been living and working in Afghanistan, as well as continue to support the safe departure of civilian personnel from our allies still serving in Afghanistan. He said.
