Davido’s fourth album, ‘Timeless,’ was released on March 31, 2023. The highly anticipated album has 17 tracks created to appease fans who have been waiting for fresh music from the hitmaker.
As part of the album release celebration, Spotify held a Pop up party with art displays commemorating Davido’s career and placing the new album in perspective, as well as space for fans to show their love for the artist. With the music policy chosen by a host of brilliant DJs, audiences also grooved out to their favorite Timeless classics. While in the United States on promotional responsibilities, Davido issued a video greeting to fans thanking them for their support and the warm reaction Timeless received upon its release.
Davido’s new studio album, ‘Timeless,’ was launched on the worldwide streaming platform Spotify on Friday, March 31, after considerable anticipation, ushering in a new chapter for the already-established Afrobeats musician.

The pop-up also included a merchandising partnership with Severe Nature, a Nigerian urban streetwear company that launched specifically created Timeless goods ranging from tees to caps. A who’s who of the Nigerian music business, including music executives, was in attendance.
Timeless is Davido’s ode to new beginnings and the strength of community, including a stellar cast of producers, composers, and guest appearances, as well as two new signees to his label in vocalists Morravey and Logos Olori.
Davido states in his album announcement tweet, “I recall sitting & staring over the ocean not too long ago, wondering if I could get here again, after all I’ve been through… but with your love and support, we made it.”
Fans and artists alike have praised the new release, with many praising Davido’s ability to create continuity within a body of work that features a wide cast of partners.
To celebrate the release of ‘Timeless,’ Spotify sponsored the Timeless Afro playlist, a selection of Davido’s favorite African masterpieces. The streaming service also created a video unveiling the album’s tracklist and contextualizing Davido’s upcoming release as a media event.
Spotify also advertised ‘Timeless’ on a billboard in New York’s Times Square, bringing the album to the attention of international audiences in one of the world’s most renowned public venues.
According to Spotify data, Davido is one of Afrobeats’ most successful exports. While Davido is definitely popular in his own country, the United States is his single biggest market, with the great bulk of his plays coming from outside Africa. The top five nations where his music is being streamed are the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Canada, and France.
