Season 6 is still airing

Since its premiere in 2017, Riverdale has been one of The CW’s most popular shows, and it is currently in its sixth season. The show has just been renewed for Season 7, so expect more deaths, mysteries, and young adult shenanigans.
There has been a lot of uncertainty recently about Riverdale’s future. The series has been experimenting with its stories since the time jump in Season 5, which saw our favourite characters shift from high teens to young adults in their mid-20s. Seasons 1–5 were set in the normal world with no magical components, but Season 6 has completely changed everything.
Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the show’s creator, has already hinted that the “Rivervale” arc will have long-term consequences, and that the supernatural components will remain. Betty, Archie, and Cheryl, in particular, appear to be experiencing supernatural side effects in the most recent episode of the show.
Now that the show has been renewed for a second season, it will be intriguing to watch where it goes from here. Hiram is likely dead for the time being, the Ghoulies and Serpents are gearing up for another turf war due to Archie, and the Trash Bag Killer has reappeared. Given their sinister link to Betty, the latter will most certainly be the biggest threat for the rest of the season.
Season 7 could be the final season if the programme is renewed, according to some of the show’s stars. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens now that it has.
