Ned Nwoko, the senator-elect for Delta North, has said that following Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s inauguration on May 29, it will be difficult to end his four-year tenure as president.

The case brought against the President-elect at the Presidential Elections Petitions Tribunal in Abuja, according to Nwoko, may not be heard after he is sworn in.

Obi has submitted a petition to contest Tinubu’s election as president on February 25.

Third-place finisher Obi requested that Tinubu’s win be overturned in his appeal, alleging that the election was marred by irregularities.

Nwoko, however, asserted that the Labour Party’s failure was a result of their misreading of the circumstances and exaggerated hopes.

Given the dismal performance of the present APC administration, led by President Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret. ), Nwoko, who talked with media in Abuja on Thursday, claimed that if the opposition parties had united, they would have easily defeated the governing APC in the election.

Nwoko emphasized that Obi would have had the ideal opportunity to fulfill his campaign promise to “save” Nigeria’s economy under an alliance administration.

According to the senator-elect, if the opposition parties had united, the current administration’s APC would have been severely defeated in the presidential election.

Further assigning blame to the Labour Party and “Obidients,” he emphasized that these groups were too self-absorbed to allow for rational thought.

The lawmaker stated, “It would have been a landslide victory for the opposition if the Labour Party and Peoples Democratic Party had worked together.
