The untimely death of Davido’s son has prompted the Nigerian record label Mavin Records to declare that they would be delaying the release of their track.
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
On Friday, November 4, 2022, Mavin Records was scheduled to release the lead track, “Won Da Mo,” off their next compilation album. However, with the loss of Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of Davido and Chioma, they have announced a change in their plans.
The post states that the release date has been moved to November 9, 2022.
“Mavin All Stars’ Won Da Mo release date has now been moved to Wednesday 9th, November. The road still leads to the dynasty!!!” the post reads.
Mavin Records now joins the group of musicians who have delayed the release of new music in the aftermath of the tragic death of 3-year-old Ifeanyi Adeleke, who was thought to have drowned in the pool at the family’s Banana Island home.
In light of recent unfortunate events, Wizkid also announced that his next album, “More Love, Less Ego,” will be delayed.
Fans, colleagues, Nigerians, and celebrities from across the world have not stopped sending their condolences for the tragic death of the toddler, whose passing has put a pall over the Nigerian music scene.
