The second season of “Young, Famous & African,” the first unscripted African series on Netflix, is scheduled to premiere soon.
Peace Hyde, the co-creator, posted on Instagram to confirm the continuation of the program:
“The Love for ‘YOUNG, FAMOUS & AFRICAN’ Africa’s first @Netflix unscripted original series has been incredible! Thank you to each and everyone of you all for the love and support. Well it’s official! Season 2 of #YOUNGFAMOUSANDAFRICAN is coming!”
The South African-set television program, which includes 2Baba and Annie Idibia, Diamond Platnumz, Zari Hassan, Khanyi Mbau, DJ Naked, and other African music artists, centers on a quick friendship get-together amongst the celebrities.
Subscribers responded enthusiastically to the unscripted show’s March premiere. How much of Annie & 2Baba’s marriage was depicted on the show was the subject of the most contentious afterthoughts.
For weeks after the premiere of the show, a video of Annie talking about the pain she experienced in the beginning of her connection with the celebrity circulated online.
