Buhari Appoints A New Special Adviser 

“President Buhari appoints Dr. Habiba Muda Lawal Special Adviser Policy and Coordination,”

Dr. Habiba Lawal, a former permanent secretary for the Ecological Project Office, has been appointed by President Major General Muhammadu Buhari to the position of Special Adviser to the President, Policy, and Coordination, effective as of today.

This information was provided in a statement headed “President Buhari appoints Dr. Habiba Muda Lawal Special Adviser Policy and Coordination,” which was written and signed by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

Dr. Lawal has subsequently resumed her job after serving as the Government of the Federation’s Acting Secretary from April 19, 2017, until October 30, 2017.

Part of the declaration said, “Before retiring, Dr. Lawal had effectively managed a team that guaranteed management, identification, planning, and implementation of initiatives to address significant ecological concerns across the nation, with respectable outcomes.

“She attended Ahmadu Bello University Zaria from 1982 to 1986 for B.Sc. Chemistry; there, she won the Nigerian Tobacco Company Prize for the Best Year II Student 1984/1985, the Imperial Chemical Industries Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Chemistry (Second Class Upper), and the Imperial Chemical Industries Prize for the Best Graduating Project 1985/1986.

“In 1991, Dr. Habiba obtained a Master’s Degree in Inorganic Chemistry from ABU, Zaria and a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi (1997).”

Lawal has a Certificate in Professional and Personal Competence in Women’s Development from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, Britain.
