Afrobeats musician Rema has entered the elite group of Nigerian artists with more than 1 billion Spotify streams overall.

Nigerian superstar Rema has hit the 1 billion listens milestone across all credits on Spotify, according to a tweet from chart news website Chart Data on Thursday, December 8th, 2022.
Rema has gathered over a billion streams across all categories as he continues to position himself as one of the most exciting music artists to come out of Africa, helped by his 2022 mega song “Calm Down” and its remix with Selena Gomez.

With his most recent achievement, he joins Burna Boy, CKay, Wizkid, Davido, and Tems in the elite group of Nigerian musicians who have received more than one billion Spotify streams overall.
Rema has had a fantastic year thanks to his smash song “Calm Down,” which has become one of the most popular Afrobeats tracks. It received over a billion streams across all platforms, and it was included in the Billboard Hot 100.
