Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli

The non-profit worldwide advocacy organization ONE Campaign has named Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli, a Nigerian native, as its new CEO. In honor of its 20th anniversary, the organization made an announcement on Tuesday after conducting a “extensive global search.”

Assuming office on April 2, 2024, Nwuneli will oversee a multinational team of advocates, campaigners, and experts situated in Abuja, Berlin, Brussels, Dakar, Johannesburg, London, New York, Ottawa, Paris, and Washington, D.C.

These efforts will support African nations by means of financial support, policy development, political structure building, and activist mobilization, all with the ultimate goal of eliminating extreme poverty and preventable diseases by 2030.

Nwuneli is a Nigerian entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in international development. She is an expert in African philanthropy, agriculture, and nutrition, as well as social innovation. She has been involved in promoting effective solutions in the global social innovation landscape, with a particular focus on Africa.

ONE views Nwuneli’s leadership background to be beneficial because she has started several organizations and served on the boards of others for a number of years.
