Khaid will be included on the Nigeria Up Next playlist on Apple Music as the newest Up Next artist to be featured in Nigeria.
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Khaid, an Afrofusion singer and composer whose full name is Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, was named as the most recent featured artist in Nigeria on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, by Apple Music.
An ecstatic Khaid responded by saying, “I am so grateful and amazed with how far I have come and I am very excited to be an Apple Music Up Next artist and to see that my sound is being accepted globally. This encourages me more to make music for everyone, everywhere around the globe. As I said, I am diverse and I still maintain my ground. Diversity is the vision”
At a young age, the 17-year-old teenager developed a love for music. The comedian and influencer Sydney Talker first noticed him through his brash and agile freestyles, which were a vehicle for his skills.
The promising musician has established himself as a unique talent since his discovery thanks to the combination of Afrogrove and trap components. The dynamic and flawless fusion of emo-trap and Afropop on his debut EP, “DIVERSITY,” was on display. In addition, he gained popularity and fame thanks to his first hit tune, “With You.”
Khaid will be included on the Nigeria Up Next playlist on Apple Music as the newest Up Next artist to be featured in Nigeria.
The list of Nigerian artists on Apple Music’s Up Next playlist now includes Khaid in addition to Ninety, Young Jonn, T.I. Blaze, Browny Pondis, Ajebo Hustlers, Jaido P, Wavy The Creator, and SGaWD.
