In a world where women are increasingly taking the reins in various sectors, the importance of creating platforms for empowerment and leadership cannot be overstated. On July 13, 2024, Bon Hotel Platinum in Enugu hosted the second edition of “The Gutsy Experience,” a groundbreaking event by The Gutsy Woman Network that has set a new benchmark for women’s empowerment initiatives. This event wasn’t just a gathering; it was a powerful convergence of intentional and inspiring queens, setting the stage for a new era of women’s empowerment.
From 8 am, the hall buzzed with the energy of women eager to learn, connect, and grow. The event, which lasted an inspiring 10 hours, was nothing short of spectacular, filled to the brim with enthusiastic participants. “I think I underestimated the crowd that would be here,” remarked renowned content creator popularly known as Mini Celeb, when she stepped on the stage as one of the panellists, capturing the overwhelming success and enthusiasm of the attendees.
Moderated by the esteemed media personality Gloria Akachukwu, the panel session was the highlight of the event, focusing on “Inspiring Inclusion for Women in Leadership Positions,” particularly in male-dominated fields. Gloria Akachukwu’s enthusiasm and post-event excitement were evident in a social media post where she praised the event’s organisers, as well as its impact, stating, “What an Event! What a gathering! What a community! Such organisation, coordination, the scale at which this event was executed, Excellence cum Incredible!”
One of the standout panellists, Divine Chidimma, shared invaluable insights into the advantages of social media, branding, and content creation. She emphasised the importance of commitment and consistency in using social media to build a loyal audience. Divine’s advice on understanding social media algorithms and leveraging them for growth was a revelation for many aspiring influencers and businesswomen in the audience.
Mini Celeb also took the stage to educate attendees on the critical aspects of branding and content quality. Her session was both enlightening and practical, providing actionable steps for women to elevate their personal and business brands.
The event wasn’t just about discussions; it was a celebration of women’s achievements and a platform for networking. Many remarkable personalities attended, making it a significant convergence of women in the southeast. One attendee aptly described it as “the biggest convergence of women in the southeast,” highlighting the event’s massive impact.
During the Q&A session, the panellists and attendees discussed issues ranging from parental training, relationships, and careers, to even childhood trauma.
The day concluded on a high note with a vibrant dance session, fueled by energetic songs from the DJ, leaving everyone in high spirits and full of inspiration.
The Gutsy Experience 2024 was more than just an event; it was a movement towards creating a seat at the table for every woman. It showcased the strength, resilience, and potential of women, providing them with the tools and networks to thrive in their respective fields. Events like these are crucial in today’s society, as they not only empower women but also contribute to a more inclusive and diverse world. The insights, connections, and inspiration gained from The Gutsy Experience will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the participants and the broader community, paving the way for more women to rise to leadership positions and drive change.
The success of “The Gutsy Experience 2024” was made possible through the generous support of numerous sponsors, including BlueprintAfric, Spa Kalon, Booktropolis.ng, Colgate, Autoease, Topnotch, QueensLuxury Beauty Salon, Sixtus Autos, Urban Radio Enugu, and many more. Their contributions were instrumental in creating an event that empowered and inspired women to claim their rightful “Seat at the Table.”
