From singing in her neighborhood church choir to becoming one of Nigeria’s young singers. Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, and record producer known for her swift ascent into the music industry, scoring international features with the likes of Disclosure, Khalid, and major A-list Nigerian Artistes.
Growing up with her single mum, Temilade found her forte in singing and took the basic steps to build on her talent as she recorded songs with her school choir and practiced regularly with her brother’s guitar.
As a result of hard work and dedication, Tems successfully landed herself a right in the hall of fame which could be traced to her ground-breaking achievements as a B-list artiste. Since the start of her career, she has been nominated a total of 6 times within 3 years. In 2019 her popular track “Try me” gained more than 2 million views on Youtube alone.

In 2020, she got a collaboration with DJ Khalid in a single titled “Know Your Worth” which also featured Nigerian superstar, Davido, and Disclosure. The track made it to Barack Obama’s playlist for summer 2020.
Judging from how quickly Tems rose to the top in the industry, you can tell that she is very dedicated to growth, talented, and driven, with a unique sense of style she embodies in her music and fashion.
