Edafe responded to him after Okoye expressed his outrage at the arrest of musician Ice Prince.

The Delta State police spokesman, Bright Edafe, referred to Nigerian artist Paul Okoye of PSquare as “senseless.” Paul Okoye responded.
After Okoye expressed his outrage at the arrest of musician Ice Prince, Edafe responded to him.
On Sunday, September 4, 2022, the musician remarked in a post-broadcast on his Instagram Stories that he would think a police officer was a kidnapper if the officer got into his car and told him to leave.
In his response to the post, Edafe compared Okoye to a group of senseless celebrities.
“Celebrities with no sense,” he tweeted.
In an instant, Okoye made fun of the corrupt and unhygienic practices of the Nigeria Police Force.
“Lol DSP…I blame us for fighting for a better life for you people. #EndSars. If to say una join us to protest, una for make extra money, well paid, buy better soap and body spray so that when una enter cars e nor go get counter smells,” he wrote.
“Una mate dey use cars with AC and computer to get information, una do stand under sun abi suffer nor dey tire una? Pray for a good and new government to come and deliver you people. Una own don too much.”
Days have passed since Ice Prince was detained on suspicion of attacking a police officer. Okoye’s post is the latest.
The musician allegedly kidnapped and threatened to throw one officer into the river after being stopped for driving without a license, according to a statement made by Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command.
“At 3 am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today,” he tweeted.
Following his arraignment, the musician was detained at Ikoyi Prison till his bail requirements were fulfilled.
