This demonstrates the degree of division that resulted from the 2023 general elections.

Seyi Law, a well-known Nigerian comedian, has stated that a troll wrote an extremely nasty letter to his wife owing to his political membership.
Seyi Law had publicly backed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was elected President of Nigeria in the 2023 elections. Many others expressed their displeasure on social media.
However, Seyi Law did not allow the harsh remarks to bother him. He recently uploaded a video of his successful performance on Twitter, mocking people who assumed he wouldn’t obtain employment because of his political views.
He wrote, “Good mrng to the amazing people who don’t see political differences as a reason to wish evil on anyone. In the minds of some people, God will not allow SEYILAW to have events so that we can say we told him. God is not for you alone. Olori ibu, a ba tanije. This ilaje song is 4 you.”
The post sparked a Twitter debate over the insults and abuses Tinubu supporters endured throughout the election. Seyi Law chimed in with a screenshot of a terrible message his wife received from a troll who wishes their daughter was dead.
“See what one of them sent to my wife. Even more in my dm for not supporting their candidate,” he tweeted, sharing a screenshot of the threat.
During the 2023 presidential election, which split everyone—elites, celebrities, and the general public alike—supporters of one of the key frontline contenders, Peter Obi, were dubbed the Obidents and were labeled by many as internet bullies who canceled everyone who spoke out against their candidate.
