Nedu’s podcast has a history of making women the focus of its conversations.
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, also known as Nedu, a Nigerian media figure, has revealed why he would not marry a virgin.
This was revealed by the comedian on his controversial podcast, The Honest Bunch, which he co-hosted.
He went on to say that nonvirgins make better judgments and that most virgins are incompetent decision-makers. He asserted that the majority of virgins consider their virginity to be their pride and everything they have to offer.

He said, “If I wan marry, I’ll not marry person wey be virgin. I will tell you why. I think girls that are not virgins make decisions better. Most girls that are virgins they believe ‘Oh this is my pride. My virginity is my pride. My virginity is my value. I’m a 30-year-old and I’m a virgin. I’ve kept myself.”
Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode, a guest on the show, replied by refuting Nedu’s statements that virgins are lousy decision-makers. She made it plain that there are many ladies who have yet to be deflowered and are quite smart.
She said, “There are a lot of women who are virgins and are very knowledgeable. They know that that is not all there is to them. You can bring one million, and they will increase it to fifty million. So, I don’t think it is an experience thing.”Experience thing puts pressure on a lot of people. I’m speaking especially for people like Juliana [myself] that have a Juliana kind of mindset about this situation. I feel like that person who is a pro now did not start off as a pro. The person already has so many experiences with different men, maybe with the same man, and that is why the person is a pro.
“So, I feel like we live in a culture where people don’t want to grow with you because there is so much hype about ‘I hit it, I got it right. Yes, I screamed. I shout.’ There is so much hype about that that a lot of people are not willing to just grow with you. And I feel like people who are willing to walk that journey with people, they share more bonds and connections, especially sexual journey, “ Olayode added in response to the OAP.
In the past, Nedu’s podcast has frequently made women the focus of its conversations. He and the program have received harsh criticism for this.
