Nigerians express their frustration with the Lekki Epe expressway.
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Many Nigerians and commuters who go via the Lekki Epe highway in Lagos have continued to express their dissatisfaction with the traffic congestion.
Mr Macaroni, a prominent skit creator, is one of many who has complained about the daily traffic on Lagos Island’s main route.
The gridlock on the Ajah axis of the road, according to Macaroni, is tiresome.
“I don’t think any traffic in Nigeria can beat the one people face on Lekki-Ajah road. This is so exhausting 😭,” he tweeted.

This is so exhausting 😭
For months, commuters have been confronted with the daunting job of traversing the Lekki Epe expressway.
The substantial development at the Victoria Garden City axis of the road connecting Victoria Island to the rest of the island has been attributed to this.
After going through the Abraham Adesanya trend, was not surprised to see I'm not the only 1 that walked from Abraham Adesanya to VGC this morning 🥺…

Pray for those that are commuting Abraham Adesanya axis of Ajah in Lagos. They're going through a lot. How they go to work and return home daily is beyond science and human understanding.

After trekking from Abraham Adesanya axis past VGC, Tfare from VGC to Agungi is still #700 naira.

What's worse? The person that dropped me at Abraham Adesanya over 1 hour ago is still in a spot trying to navigate from Thomas Estate through the inner road to the express.#ajah
Do you know how disgusting it is to be hearing them call #400, 500.. from Abraham Adesanya to ajah under bridge. Spent like 2-3hrs on the road yesterday 😭😭😭😭

Finesse.
Madness of Lagos traffic.

I left Abraham Adesanya at 5:15am. It's almost 9am and I'm not at VGC yet.
For context, the distance is about 5kms.
People are really suffering in this Lagos. Everyone are just trekking, I trekked from Abraham adesanya to VGC straight…… Av lost 2kg.

I have spent 3 hours and counting between Abraham Adesanya and Ajah Bridge

This shouldn’t take less than 5 minutes on a regular drive
I get to work exasperated, worn and less productive
Whoever survives in Lagos, can survive anywhere in the world !
My colleague walked from Abraham Adesanya to Ikota. From there she took a bike to Lekki. God forbid this country as a whole.
