Megan Thee Stallion Docuseries In The Works 

The show will follow the Grammy winner’s extraordinary climb to popularity around the world.

You’re about to learn a lot more about Megan Thee Stallion, a world-famous musician. TIME Studios and Roc Nation have teamed up to develop a multi-part documentary series about the rapper’s life, from her early days of freestyling on social media to her rise to global fame. The series will also get up close and personal with the Grammy winner, showing aspects of her life that the general public isn’t aware of.

The untitled docuseries will follow Stallion’s career milestones using archive footage, social media videos, and new verité clips to depict the ups and downs of dealing with global fame. Stallion’s debut album Good News was critically lauded, and hits like “Savage” and “WAP” topped the Billboard 100 charts in the United States after going viral on Instagram.

Nneka Onuorah, who is no stranger to compelling true-life stories, will direct the docuseries. She directed President Barack Obama in Netflix’s The G Word and Lizzo’s Watch Out For the Big Grrrls, a competition series on Prime Video. She has also worked on My House, a docuseries about the Black queer ballroom scene, and First and Last, a documentary about inmates being admitted to and released from the United States prison system.

TIME Studios and Roc Nation have yet to provide any other details about the Megan Thee Stallion docuseries, such as the actual title, trailer, or premiere date.
