Koffee, a Jamaican music star and rising talent, praised Nigerian Afrobeats megastar Davido in an interview with BBC Radio 1xtra.
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Jamaican star Koffee praised Davido as a musician in addition to being an artist when speaking on 1Xtra on BBC Radio.
She says that she has admired Davido ever since she first heard one of his songs. The young Jamaican singer asserted that Davido’s constancy and capacity to experiment with various musical styles while still producing success made him more than just an artist.
“Ever since hearing him the first time I have loved him. I love how he presents his work. He’s a musician and not just an artist who will just write lyrics or whatever. I love his way of expression and I love that he’s consistent and he experiments and he doesn’t stick to one sound but he keeps the bangers coming. Wherever he goes with his direction you always seem to know it’s a hit.”
Previously, Koffee has expressed her liking of popular music from Nigeria. She even covered Burna Boy’s smash song “YE” and referred to him as one of her favorite musicians.
