Wizkid’s manager and baby mama, Jada Pollock, has been heavily chastised for tweeting an inappropriate tweet on the eve of Davido’s album release.
Pollock took to Twitter on the eve of Davido’s album release to promote Wizkid’s album ‘More Love, Less Ego,’ much to the chagrin of many fans who saw the statement as divisive and disrespectful considering the time.
Many perceived the post as an attempt to incite conflict between fans of Wizkid and Davido, and they harshly criticized it.
Sensing the outcry, the talent manager lost no time in attempting to appease the angry fans. She removed the tweet and even contacted the prominent gossip blog ‘Gossip Mill’ to get the piece about it removed.
According to the site that provided records of their chat, Pollock advised them to remove the postings regarding the tweet and other versions that may be contentious, while adding that the emphasis should not be taken away from Davido and his ‘Timeless’ album.
She wrote, “Can you please take down that post. Today is Davido’s day! Let’s not take that away from him. After everything he has been through. You should be celebrating & supporting. As a BIG platform you have the power to encourage unity not hate. These posts are so negative and just emphasises the fan wars! Do the right thing. It’s these narratives that are not allowing out sound to grow at the speed it needs. Help Afrobeats to Win and take over the world. Thank you for responding.”
Fans have completely changed their tune, now applauding Pollock for seeking to remedy her mistake,’ while admitting that the gesture makes them even more fond of Wizkid and his crew.
Davido’s ‘Timeless’ album is now available for listening across all platforms.
