In preparation for his presence at the FIFA 2022 World Cup closing ceremony, Afrobeats superstar Davido has landed in Qatar.
The artist will be making his second appearance in front of the public after the untimely death of his adored son, Ifeanyi, in October.
He was scheduled to perform at the start of the football competition, but sad events prevented that.
The World Cup closing ceremony on Sunday, December 18, 2022, will be his first performance after the tragic incident that caused him to disappear from view.
Chinese entrepreneur Stephen Hung initially revealed the ‘Stand Strong’ singer’s World Cup participation on Thursday, December 8, through his Instagram account.
Hung announced the exciting news that Davido will perform at the awards event. He said he can’t wait to watch the singer.
As he responded to a recent Instagram post by controversial artist Portable, which drew attention among social media users, the DMW label owner may be making a comeback to social media after being absent for about two months.
The artist can be seen in footage on his Instagram page performing his well-known song “Zazu” at a school’s end-of-year party on Thursday, December 15, in Warri, Delta State.
He sang and danced with enthusiasm, and the children, their parents, and their guardians joined him on the dance floor.
Captioning the post, Portable celebrated the children, he wrote: “Children are wonderful gift from God. I enjoyed myself performing among the kids. Warri una do well. See you soon again. Akoi million fans. Kinimah Fajah. Kinimah go far. ZEH Nation, many many inspiration.”
Many individuals have expressed their hope that Davido will soon return to social media in response to his liking of the post.
