While performing at the Hollywood Bowl, American comedian Dave Chappelle was assaulted onstage.
On Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in Los Angeles, a heinous occurrence occurred.
Several sources claim that when the assailant was apprehended, he possessed a knife fashioned like a rifle.
A young man is seen storming onto the stage during the Netflix is a Joke comedy festival and assaulting the artist to the ground in a video that has since gone viral.
The perpetrator then stands up and attempts to flee the stage, but is apprehended and restrained by security guards and members of Chappelle’s team.
Later, he was apprehended, and his bail was set at $30,000.
After the incident, Chris Rock joined Chappelle on stage and ridiculed Will Smith.
Smith slapped Rock on the stage when hosting the last Academy Awards.
“Was that Will Smith?” He stated as he climbed the podium.
Actor Jamie Foxx is said to have rushed onto the stage to assist Chappelle in apprehending the preperator.
“Whenever you’re in trouble, Jamie Foxx will show up in a sheriff’s hat,” quipped Chappelle at the show’s curtain call. Unconfirmed video shows Foxx responding: “I thought that was part of the show.”
An investigation into the situation has already begun, according to multiple publications.
