Celine Dion, a well-known Canadian singer, has explained her prolonged quiet by stating that she suffers from a rare neurological condition called Stiff-Person syndrome.
As a “one-in-a-million” instance, Celine Dion shared her sad struggle with life-altering illnesses.
The singer announced this predicament in the caption of an Instagram photo, and as a result, she has been forced to postpone her European concerts planned for February 2023.
“I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through…It hurts me to tell you that I won’t be ready to restart my tour in Europe in February,” she wrote.
The singer acknowledged that the spasms are already having an impact on her daily life in the announcement video.

“Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to,” she said.
As the name indicates, the condition causes the body’s muscles to contract, which worsens with time and ultimately makes persons who have it seem like statues and are usually unable to move at all.
Dion said that she is collaborating closely with her medical team and that her immediate family is providing her with a lot of support.
The Oscar-winning singer said in 2014 that she was putting her career on hiatus “indefinitely” due to her husband René Angélil’s struggle with cancer, who subsequently passed away in 2016.
Her brother Daniel Dion unexpectedly passed away this same year (2016), prompting her to take a vacation for nearly a year.
Her twelfth English-language and twenty-seventh studio album, ‘Courage,’ which featured tracks with Sia, Sam Smith, StarGate, Jimmy Napes, Lauv, LP, Jörgen Elofsson, and many more, marked her eventual major comeback in 2019.
