boohooMAN has released their latest edit with Rema, a Nigerian singer.
By Omotayo Olutekunbi
Rema has collaborated with artists like AJ Tracey, 6LACK, Chris Brown, FKA Twigs, and others, and has had a significant impact on Afropop music around the world. Rema continues to grow as an artist and connect with his global fan base, with accolades including his single “Calm Down” reaching number one in his home country and 16 million views on TikTok, as well as the recent release of his Rave & Rose’s album reaching number one in 12 countries, making him the ideal fit for the brand.
The collection, which consists of 10 outfits, combines the artist’s outspoken personality and love of fashion with whimsical visuals and the boohooMAN streetwear vibe. His PU teddy bear appliqué bomber jacket, a vital design component important to Rema’s heart, is the centrepiece of the line, with matching sets and larger fits taking centre stage.
The ad artwork, shot in Rema’s homeland of Nigeria, plays on psychedelic images and the usage of memorable words, which are relevant to his most recent album release. To mirror the artist’s distinctive tag at the beginning of every song, bold prints and one-liners like ‘another banger’ are included into the designs.
