Wizkid’s fourth album, “Made In Lagos,” was released in 2020. Widely praised, the project broke several records, including the record for the longest-charting African album on the global album chart.

“Made in Lagos” came in second on Billboard’s 2022 year-end list, trailing only BTS’s “Proof.”

Made in Lagos, which was helped along by the smash song “Essence” featuring Tems and Justin Bieber, is the first album to spend 100 weeks on the World Album Chart. It also holds the record for the longest charting album, surpassing Fela’s “The Black President” by 45 weeks.

Burna Boy’s 2022 album, “Love, Damini,” which was published in July and is now at ninth on the chart, is also in the top 10.

The global smash track “Love Nwantiti” by CKay is featured on his 2019 EP, “CKay The First,” which peaked at number 14 on the year-end list.
