Wivesroundtable, the empowering and transformative talk show dedicated to the upliftment of Nigerian women and families, has been awarded the prestigious title of Best Talk Show on Radio at the 2024 Nigeria Electronic Media Content Exhibitions and Awards (NEMCEA) ceremony.
This recognition marks a significant milestone in the show’s journey, underscoring its unwavering commitment to improving the lives of women across Nigeria.
Since its debut in April 2013, Wivesroundtable has been a source of inspiration for Nigerian women, providing them with essential information, tools, and resources to improve their lives and homes.
The show has covered a wide range of themes that are important to Nigerian women, including marriage and relationships, job and finance, women’s health and nutrition, and overall well-being, with the goal of assisting women in reaching their full potential.
Wivesroundtable has evolved from a single radio station in Lagos to a syndicated radio and TV talk programme that airs across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones, reaching a varied audience of women from all walks of life. Its development into television broadens its reach and influence, making it a trusted source of guidance and support for women nationwide.
Speaking at the event, Wivesroundtable’s Founder, Amaka Chibuzo-Obi, says, “We are deeply honoured to receive this award, which is a testament to the incredible journey Wivesroundtable has undertaken since 2013. Our goal has always been to provide a platform where women can find the information, support, and encouragement they need to thrive. This recognition inspires us to continue pushing boundaries, to reach more women, and to ensure that every woman, everywhere, feels valued and empowered to achieve her fullest potential.”
