UK Defence Minister Ben Wallace stated on Tuesday that if Poland chose to deploy combat aircraft to Ukraine, the UK will back it.

Wallace cautioned that the action might have immediate ramifications for Warsaw.
He went on to say that as a NATO member, the UK will back the Poles in whatever decision they made.
“Poland will understand that the choices it makes will not only directly help Ukraine, which is a good thing but also may bring them into direct line of fire from countries such as Russia or Belarus,” he said.
He emphasized that the president of Poland and the country’s defense minister have enormous responsibility.
“They will have to calibrate that,” Wallace said.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to demilitarize and “denazify” Ukraine in response to the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics’ requests for assistance in combating Ukrainian soldiers’ aggression.
The special operation is solely targeting Ukrainian military facilities, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, and the civilian population is not in risk.
Moscow has made it clear that it has no intention of occupying Ukraine.
