Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is not his son, according to Bola Tinubu, the national head of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tinubu stated this in an interview with newsmen on Monday, April 11, 2022, just after meeting with certain APC governors in Abuja.

The meeting took place in the Kebbi Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, only hours after Osinbajo announced his candidacy for president.

When asked about Osinbajo’s remark, Tinubu, who is widely regarded as his political son, said, “I have no son grown up enough to declare.”

However, the former governor of Lagos State stated that his meeting with the governors was to seek collaboration, support, and encouragement in his bid for the presidency in 2023.

Governors Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi, Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna, Bababjide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano, Gboyega Oyetola of Osun, Mai Mala Binu of Yobe, Simon Lalong of Plateau, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa, and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun were among those who attended the meeting.
