Tinubu Calls for Fairness in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa Elections

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu urged both voters and candidates involved in the upcoming November 11 governorship elections in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa States to uphold the principles of free and fair elections.

He made this plea on November 2, 2023, during the presentation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag to his party’s candidates for the election.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu presented the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag to Governor Hope Uzodinma, Ahmed Ododo for Kogi State, and Timipre Sylva for Bayelsa State. He emphasized the importance of free and fair elections, expressing confidence in the process.

President Tinubu expressed confidence in his party’s prospects in the off-season elections, attributing the potential success to the candidates’ hard work, APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and party officials.

He praised Governor Yahaya Bello’s efforts in Kogi State and commended Hope Uzodinma’s contributions as the chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum.

President Tinubu praised Bayelsa’s gubernatorial candidate, Sylva, for his past achievements as a minister and ex-governor. He expressed confidence in Governor Uzodinma’s success in the November 11 election, emphasizing hope for victory in the democratic process.
