In less than a year, Tems has two singles in Billboard’s top 10, one of which is at number one.

Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, is the first Nigerian musician to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Her duet with Wizkid gave her a Top 10 Billboard hit last year. Wizkid became the first African singer to have a song in the Top 10 Billboard chart as a lead artist with ‘Essence,’ which was also Tems’ first Top 10 success.

Tems collaborates with Drake and Future on the single ‘Wait For U,’ which appears on Future’s LP album ‘I Never Liked You’ and debuts at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 – Future’s second, Drake’s ninth, and Tems’ first.
"Wait For U" is the 1,137th No. 1 song in the #Hot100's 63-year history, and the 61st to enter on top.
