Tems has made history by being the Nigerian with the most entries on America’s Billboard Hot 100 list.

With her sixth appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 list, Tems made history when Beyonce’s “Move” debuted at number 55 on the chart for the week ending August 13, 2022.
She previously had cameo appearances on Wizkid’s “Essence,” which peaked at number 9, Drake’s “Fountain,” and Future’s “Wait For U,” which debuted at number 1. “Move” is her fifth entry. Her 2020 single, “Free Mind,” recently became her first solo entry, entering at number 90.
Tems contributed to Beyonce’s most recent album, “Renaissance,” which won acclaim from Nigerians and fans alike. She is having a terrific run after her efforts on Future’s “Wait For U” helped the song launch at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
She also made history when she won Best New Act at the 2022 BET Awards, making her the first African woman to do so.
Tems currently holds the record for the most Billboard Hot 100 entries by a Nigerian musician, breaking a tie with Afrobeats heavyweight Wizkid that had lasted four entries.
