Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, a street-pop musician, has admitted that the All Progressive Congress (APC) paid him to support Bola Tinubu for president.
On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, a video that featured this became viral online.

The artist has previously faced harsh backlash on social media for endorsing the APC in the Saturday, July 16, 2022, Osun State gubernatorial election.

The singer also urged Nigerians to support Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election in a video shared on his Instagram page.

While this was going on, Portable stated in a new video that the APC had paid him to disparage the previous governor of Lagos State during the EndSARS rally. However, he said that because of this, his opinions have now changed.

If they pay you money, you have to work. I was once paid to insult Tinubu during the protests. That was a long time ago. Now, APC has said Akoi Tinubu.

“If they pay you, do your job, no ripping. When I was asked to insult Tinubu, I collected my money and did my job. Now Tinubu is the next. They’re the ones that gave me money, and I must do the work for the money I collected. Akoi APC,” he said in Yoruba.

The mother of the singer’s newborn child and the controversial musician just got married.
