Obi stated that the OBIdient movement has been promoted by millions of young people in Nigeria.

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has complimented Nigerian youngsters for their continuous support of the OBIdient movement.
The former governor of Anambra State said that his desire to run for president in 2023 was inspired by the young activists’ fervor.
Obi’s thanks came after an event that his supporters organized on August 13, 2022, in Calabar, Cross River State.
The leading presidential contender continued by saying that he was encouraged by the movement’s followers’ demonstrated the unity of purpose, which demonstrated their will to retake the nation from corrupt leadership.
Obi said in a series of tweets on his Twitter feed on August 14, 2022.
He stated that the presidential contender conveyed his appreciation for the kind welcome he received during the Holy Ghost Service of the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s 70th convention (RCCG).
On the fifth day of the convention, believers gathered at the worldwide headquarters of the RCCG on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Obi, who made his first appearance at the Redemption Camp, joined them.
Obi said in a series of tweets on his Twitter feed on August 14, 2022,
Obi said, “To the millions of young people in our country who have continued to advance the cause of our OBIdient Movement, I say Thank you.
“To our OBIdient Family in Calabar, Cross River State; your show of love and solidarity to the movement yesterday has added so much courage and greater zeal to our common mission.
“United together, we will take back our country from bad governance, and institute true and diligent leadership and sustainable development.
“It is our journey, and we will never labor in vain. Nigeria’s Democracy must survive. -PO”.
